Eclipse Glasses and Viewers

These solar eclipse glasses and viewers are safe for direct sun observations. ISO 12312-2:2-15 compliant; filtering out 99.9% of the sun’s rays.
Sourced from Rainbow Symphony.
🦺 Safety Recommendations
- Never look directly at the sun without eye protection.
- Protect the glasses between use to prevent damage to the light-filtering material.
- Do not use it if the solar filter has any punctures, scratches, tears, or gaps between the frame.
- Do not use these glasses to observe the eclipse through a camera, telescope or pair of binoculars. This is extremely dangerous as the camera/telescope/binocular’s inner workings focus light, and the resulting image of the Sun could melt the filter. ALWAYS apply a solar filter over the lens to filter light before it enters the camera/telescope, and never over the eyepiece.
🤷🏼♀️ What to do with your glasses after the April 8th eclipse?
KEEP THEM!
Even though the glasses are made of paper, as long as you protect the solar filter, you can use them for years.
Use them for partial eclipse viewing or any other solar observations like sun spots or transits of Mercury (probably not a transit of Venus since the next one isn’t until 2117 😅)
